K-Hill Motorsports Earns Victories and Podiums at Watkins Glen International

K-Hill Motorsports enjoyed another successful weekend of Formula Race Promotions (FRP) competition at Watkins Glen International, earning victories, multiple podium finishes, and class wins across the Atlantic and F1600 categories.

The team fielded six entries during the weekend, including four cars in the F1600 class with Axel LeRoy, Jake LeRoy, David Ybarra, and F1600 Masters competitor David Adorno. In the Atlantic class, Harbir Dass and Kirk Kindsfater represented the team. Unfortunately, Kindsfater’s weekend came to an early end following practice after engine damage forced the team to withdraw the car before qualifying.

Following a brief rain delay, qualifying got underway with strong performances across the K-Hill Motorsports lineup. Dass secured pole position in the Atlantic class, while Ybarra qualified third in F1600. Axel LeRoy lined up sixth, Jake LeRoy eighth, and Adorno claimed pole position in the F1600 Masters category.

Dass immediately capitalized on his qualifying performance by leading from the front to claim victory in the opening Atlantic race of the weekend. The F1600 drivers also produced impressive results in heat race one. Ybarra led the charge with a runner-up finish, while Jake LeRoy crossed the line seventh, just ahead of brother Axel in ninth. Adorno added another victory to the team’s tally by taking top honors in the F1600 Masters class.

Atlantic race two was ultimately declared a non-race after an on-track incident resulted in extensive track damage that could not be repaired before the allotted session time expired. As a result, no championship points were awarded. F1600 heat race two continued the team’s strong momentum as Ybarra earned another podium with a third-place finish. Jake LeRoy improved to fifth, while Axel LeRoy finished seventh. Adorno rounded out the race with a tenth-place finish in class.

The final Atlantic race was set to see Dass once again battle at the front, but a freak malfunction on the out lap ruined any chances of a victory.. The final F1600 race featured another strong showing from the LeRoy brothers. Axel narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place finish ahead of Jake in sixth. Ybarra was unable to take the start in the final race, with Adorno stepping into Ybarra’s car and driving to a fourth-place finish in class to close out the weekend.

Team owner Brandi Kaiser praised the resilience and performance of the entire organization throughout the event.

“Overall, this was a really positive weekend for our team,” explained Kaiser. “Harbir was outstanding all weekend in Atlantic, and David Ybarra showed tremendous speed every time he was on track. Axel and Jake continued to make great strides, and David Adorno once again proved why he’s such a strong competitor in the Masters class. It’s unfortunate that Kirk’s weekend ended before it really began, and losing Atlantic race two wasn’t ideal for everyone, but our drivers and crew continued to adapt and make the most of every opportunity. We’re excited to carry this momentum into New Jersey.”

With victories, podiums, and continued development across both classes, K-Hill Motorsports heads into the next round with confidence as the 2026 season continues. K-Hill Motorsports will now shift its attention to the next Formula Race Promotions event at Summit Point Motorsports Park August 7-9.
