The First Step…

What to expect

Many karters and those new to racing regularly ask the question “what’s the first step in racing?” The answer has been the same for decades…Formula Race Promotions (FRP) F1600 Championship series. FRP is a proven place to cultivate skills in Formula 1600 – also known as Formula F or Formula Ford. On your first test day with K-Hill Motorsports, you’ll begin with an introduction to one of our professional coaches, who will go over proper racing lines and set goals for your development. Throughout the day, you will participate in multiple on-track sessions, during which our team will gather on board video and data for detailed post session analysis. After each session, you’ll review your performance with our engineers and coaches, identifying areas for improvement and refining your driving techniques. During these tests there are no fixed rules for driver coaching as everyone is different. To begin with, there are certain areas we focus on more than others to seek out exactly where your hidden speed is locked away. In addition, each new driver will receive a custom seat fitting to ensure maximum safety, comfort, and control in the car.
